As Seen on TV: Sharing My Success

One of my favorite things to do is to talk about MHS to people who don’t know all that it is. Yeah, some questions get redundant and annoying to answer, but a lot of the time people don’t fully comprehend everything that MHS does for its students.

Recently, I had the opportunity to do this at an interview on the news program Pa. Newsmakers, talking about MHS and career and college readiness. I can honestly say that it is such an easy topic to talk about.MHS Student on TV Show

During my time at MHS, I was taught the skills I need to start my career, from interviewing etiquette to specific technical training. I finished two internships in my career field, graphic communications, earned five certifications related to my career, and was able to learn from the best teachers.

All my years were dedicated to helping me succeed in the career of my choice post MHS. The advantages I have been given have already helped me.

I was able to complete 15 credits through the MHS @ Temple University program during my senior year, and because of this, during my first semester at Rochester Institute of Technology I will be taking almost all classes related to my major instead of the typical freshman general education courses. I have also found freelance graphic design work which helps me develop a portfolio, for my future work.

Overall, I feel much more prepared going into the real world than I would have without MHS. I know I have the tools I need to succeed in college and my career.

So when I get asked a million questions about MHS and how I feel moving on as a recent graduate, I get excited to talk about the next steps because I know I’m ready!
