MHS Elementary Girl Scouts Receive Grand Champion Cup for Second Consecutive Year

Milton Hershey School Cub Scouts recently joined forces with the school’s Girl Scouts for the annual Pinewood and Powderpuff Derby. MHS elementary schoolers worked with their houseparents to design, build and decorate vehicles to race in the derby.

Twenty girls and 15 boys participated in the exciting event, and each car had the chance to race three times. Students also received trophies if they placed first, second or third. For the second year, the group hosted the Grand Champion Cup where the winning Cub Scout’s car battled the winning Girl Scout’s car to name the ultimate champion.
